my 3D modelling teacher told me that when designing male dimorphic characters in games always make the space between their head and shoulders fit one head.

Still over. Anyway, this is not how you should define proportions. From ear to ear? It should be something between 3 face widths (by zygos) and 2 rotated skulls.
