If it’s 2, it’s too small

If it’s 3, someone gets frozen out as the third wheel

If it’s 5+, the group becomes too big and subgroups form and it’s too impersonal. It becomes more of an acquaintanceship than a friendship

i have like 6 friends i could count in for an emergency IRL, but only 2 that i genuinely believe that are gonna last till my death with me

In my life, I’ve had maybe 4 people I can genuinely say were a friend

And more that were more like people who were in between friend and acquaintance

Most people are temporary
