I think a lot of these "muh morals" are holding humanity back. I am studying in STEM(marine biology) and one of the main reasons why my field is being held back is because of the lack of funding. I have heard excuses that others have made to not fund my field and many other STEM fields is that "muh it does not serve a relevant purpose" or "muh its to risky because we may destroy the ocean in doing our research" as if the ocean is not already being destroyed by the world being overpopulated and using too many plastics. in fact we would help the ocean and save the planet but we get nothing. in fact people would rather fund dumb shit like research into social issues which literally does nothing to benefit humanity btw.

I would actually recommend if you are into evolution books like "Sapiens" and "Origin of Species" which give great insight into evolution.
