@OldRooster most women who wear the hijab are usually Syrians and people from other muslim countries, although a significant portion of Turkish women wear it too. I don't mind the Islamic culture because I grew up around it, but I don't like myth spreaders like OP.

Majority of turks believe that ataturk is superior to Allah. Ask any of them and u will get ur answer.

It used to be the center of Islam but since Ataturk they tried to suppress their Islamic heritage and each generation become progressively secular until they were atheist. If Ataturk was alive and saw what happened he probably would've realised his mistakes.

Also Kurds who constitute 20-ish percent of their population are very religious btw. In parts of southeastern Turkey where the earthquake was you'll see them scream allahu Akbar.

Yeah even in the big cities you see massive muslim cultural stuff and mosque prayers and the western cities that people visit (busra, istanbul, izmir) are significantly more liberal and secular.
