Depend on the type of guy you are. I think girls will be more direct not only when you're gl but also depending on your personality.

For example if they feel like their is no real connection with you cause you're not really open she will be more direct cause she had too you didn't really gave her another choice and she do that to let you know she is interested and try to get an answer out of her interest cause so far she didn't really receive anything that confirms to her you are interested too.
