You might as well claim you're Jew already without going through conversion if you want all those special Jewish benefits. You change your name to sound more Jewish, move in a city where Jews dominate the scene and try to hustle your way around based on your name only. If they ask you, just say you're Jewish, not very religious, grew in a small town and you were the only Jew family there, etc.
