If I don't need BSSO for aesthetic purposes, could elastics be a better alternative?

I have an overbite and a narrow palate. I want to widen my palate and then correct my bite with elastics.

Is this a good idea, or will elastics fuck me over? Can I also do elastics without extractions?

Wouldn't elastics correct an overbite if small without the need for surgery, or is that wrong

I highly doubt that elastic could move bone to that extent

Same bro I have surgery this summer, ortho and surgeon keep asking if I only want bsso. I think bimax with ccw included would be crazy cool but he compares bimax = Lamborghini while bsso only = Audi, Lexus still high end car. I got no fucking clue if ccw will make my maxilla too short making midface long since my chin already super projected and square. Don’t even look like I got overbite because of chin. I’d like expanding so I will be running scans for that shit in 2 weeks. I don’t think there’s many overbite surgery before and afters. Haven’t seen any myself.
