I had a completely sober february this year (i missed dry january so I decided february was the play), but other than february and the first 2 weeks of march I have been drinking 3-5 BOTTLES of wine per day, every day. 0.75L, 12.5% bottles. Mostly white wine.

I found the sober 6 weeks to be relatively easy except for a bit of withdrawals the first 2 days: hand-tremors but I always have these when I don't drink for a day, insomnia, sweating, lethargy, etc. but relatively easy to cope with it. I had a party planned mid-march and was already planning to break my sobriety here in both alcohol and drugs.

During this period of time I was also working out at the gym 4-5 times per week and eating a great diet, no drugs, no partying.
I've found that even though felt somewhat better, stronger, more energy, I wasn't really getting the results I expected, often felt like I felt worse because I very much felt like my emotions flatlined and I wasnt enjoying life at all anymore while with alcohol/drugs I still had ups n downs which made life more interesting.

How fast does 3-5 bottles of wine per day kill you? If I have to go to the tomato-factory I tend to drink ~3 bottles so I am not noticably drunk. Then on normal days its 5 bottles.

But maybe its for the best that I die

a shame, you really start to enjoy it once you’ve built some level of tolerance to it
why i would think you would love the relacing efects of it, and its legal to buy in the netherlands so...
with weed i get too much in my head and start over-thinking, absolutely despise the vibe. its the same with 2-cb but then its not this analytical over-thinking like with weed that I get on it.

its personal i guess but I prefer any other drugs than weed.

Is this because you've lost your other drug sources? Or you always drink

idk how unhealthy it is to skip an entire night of sleep, but ive had many so far
When you start to get seriously addicted your body will cope with adrenaline and despersonalization, you probably will experience a period where it feels good and seems like you don't need to sleep, after you completely start to have acute psychosis, hear and see stuff because your body is shutting down and just needs to rest

The circumstances or just your mental state

What's your career/ social life, now compared to the past you have in mind

both is worse.

i live essentially completely socially isolated, given up completely, no career whatsoever either, havent dated in years, been getting fatter over the last years, less active in the gym, have started developing panic-attacks

Never had a career? You're like mid or late 20s right? Just assumption based on your behavior and things you say

You gotta have a grind to feel fulfilled as a man

I only get panic attacks when I stagnate personally, when I'm living in a haze, day to day and not working hard

I get them very infrequently though and it's less than 1 minute 100% of the time

I just get woozy like I'm low on blood sugar or something, but I feel an overwhelming sensation of dread too.

the thing with weed is that if you’re an anxious person in general, it amplifies it 100x more when you’re in the ‘zone.’ environment and context matter a lot when you do it.

maybe your timing was bad, maybe the people around you make you anxious, maybe you got priorities lingering on your mind for the next day. you gotta do it on a day where you’re truly free, no tasks, no obligations, just you alone rotting in peace.
ideally have the next day free too to loosen it up a bit, cherish it for awhile.

you need a safe corner where you can melt, let your brain wander, zone in on dumb sounds or visuals and just drift. give it a try again if you can, it’s not as bad as alcohol. my work ethic, quality of life, everything in general, got better through cannabis usage. been feeling a bit lighter, sometimes even giggling at dumb shit, haven’t felt this way in years. booze never does any of that, just kills you slowly

how long have you been drinking in total?

how long have you been drinking in total?
5 years of what would be considered alcoholism, but heavy-drinking (most days, 1+ bottle per day on avg) for the past 3 years.

i mainly want to quit cuz I've noticed that since a few years I have acquired some sort of anxiety-disorder which also spikes my tinnitus (which was manageable before but now it isn't). I find life with this anxiety-disorder and tinnitus UNBEARABLE. I find alcohol also influences this anxiety-disorder for me now, where when I am sober I tend to be emotionally-cold, flatlines, which is easier to live with than brutal anxiety and tinnitus.
