If life felt meaningless beforehand, does love actually fix it?

I’m not talking about feeling lonely and sad before finding love, I’m talking about feeling that life is meaningless. I don’t get the impression that if you felt empty before, finding love will change that. But I don’t know. I keep seeing people say love is special, and I’m trying to figure out if that’s actually true for people who already felt like nothing mattered.
