If manlets have always had such a low success rate with getting women how do their genes still exist?

From a Darwinian perspective, if being short as a male decreases reproductive success, and vice versa for tall male, how do short male genes propagate?

Short women mothers?

Height is being a bit overemphasized here. Yeah it's important but manlets get into LTR too

Height is also determined by environmental factors (poor diet, for example). Besides, short females don't have issues to spread their genes.

Your height is determined by the environment and the genetics from BOTH of your parents, you know.

Short women have it easy

Back in ancient times during periods of famine, disasters, mass migrations, wars, etc. shorter people had higher chances of survival - they ate less, could easily hide in holes in the ground, could dig and search for food easier, etc., they were simply more adaptable than taller people. Even in wars, shorter guys could be more successful - they were a smaller target, harder to hit, they weighted less, so horses could run faster with them on their backs - the Mongols for example were quite short, but very skilled in horse riding and archery so they managed to conquer vast territories.
In more modern times until recently, a man only had to be a good provider - make enough money and he could easily get a wife, so height wasn't really that important.
After feminism spread, women got more and more rights, and started to work, they didn't need providers anymore, so they started to choose men only based on their looks and height, so we see now in developed countries taller and taller men, while for the shorter guys it gets more and more harder to find a partner.
In poorer countries, where women don't have many opportunities and still have to rely on finding men to provide for them, being short isn't such a big failo, so these men can still pass their genes.
