The best indicators for identifying downgrowth are the gonial angle and chin/philtrum ratio. If the gonial angle is very wide and cpr exceeds 2, its likely a case of downgrowth.
Nasal shape is primarily determined by soft tissue structures, and has less to do with maxillary superior development.

well a bump on the nose (dorsal hump) would mean the maxilla isnt developed how it is supposed to

Dorsal humps are caused by excess lateral cartilages and nasal bone projection. Maxilla contributes to the nasal base

poor habits during childhood is usually what causes it. Truthdds on tiktok says the same thing he is a certified texas orthodontist. Its a bump due to irregularity

That's not entirely true. Your maxilla in fact plays a major role in you nasal development. A hooked nose is an illusion caused by nasal tip ptosis(when maxilla doesnt provide enough forward support) so the tip of the nose tips down. And there are many studies that state that correlate between maxillary inclination. For ex., upward-rotating maxilla are linked to straighter, smaller profiles while downward-rotating the opposite.

Hooked nose is defined by convexity of the nasal dorsum. Tip ptosis can make it look more pronounced, but it does not create the dorsal convexity itself. Btw maxilla doesnt form the dorsal bony framework
