If my palate is small and my lower jaw fits into it, would that mean my lower jaw is also narrow?

I do have a slight crossbite, my palates is very slightly wider than my lower jaw, however my lower jaw doesnt have any teeth crowding unlike my palate, even tho it’s bigger? Sorry if this sounds retarded I don’t know how to word it any better.
