I was speaking to this autistic girl I knew (hates loud noises to death, ARFID, bi, autism voice etc) and she has a whole ass friend group that is just like her all VERY CLEARLY autistic

I was literally the odd one out and felt like there were new social rules I didn't know

They'd say something obvious and my brain instantly goes to make fun of them subtly for it in a joking way for example and it would NOT land AT ALL like it would around other Neurotypicals and I realised I had become the Neurodivergent temporarily around these people

Since first social media and then tinder and then covid everyone has become kind of autistic because they have no social skills. So maybe it is an advantage that it’s now more normal to be socially inept
