mikasa is the shittiest character in the entire series that contributed absolutely nothing besides shouting 'EREN' every other episode, there's been zero character development whatsoever and nothing would've changed if they had left her out entirely, for her to be such a plot point in the last episode disgusted me.

because the whole manga its just a fight between races
. All Titans were originally humans of a race of people called the Subjects of Ymir. Ymir Fritz was the first Titan, who became one after merging with a strange spine-like creature in a tree. Subjects of Ymir are all distantly related to her, connecting them to the paths which enables transformation.

so in a nutshell the suffering of the people in the island aka where the walls are, is because their ancestors almost made the world extint due to them having ymir the first titan, so the other races gang up agaisnt them and vanished them to the island in which they used giant titans as walls, to live a peaceful life until the other hateful races sended waves of the islanders race transformed by titans aka they injected them with titan juice in order to kill the islanders. the islanders didnt know anything about the outside world thinking they were the last humans, then the giant titan attacked them in which resulted on the main character search of revenge agaisnt the outsiders aka the other human races due to the titans killing his mother, blah blah blah, then he finds out his father is one of the 9 descedents of the first titan in which he gets the titan transforming power, blah lah blah then he becomes one with ymir the first titan giving gim god like power and then he went out on a GENOCIDIAL rampage agaisnt the whole world, he is gonna make everyone extint because of what he went thru, honestly the anime is pretty good at giving us perspective on which side is which and gives us a grey line on whats right and wrong but obvious shit. the anime still havent finished tho theres 1 more movie left.

ik but it goes deeper than that i said the whole story as short as possible, im also going off memory also your favorite character is prob dead since like 90% of people you meet in the 1st season dies by the semi final movie. mid anime ngl is stupid because the biggest twist is that titans are humans and that the people in the island are just islolated freaks hated by every single race

I think I stopped watching midway through the 2nd season. There was some forest they would zip out to from the city. But it went on for ages. Just doing zipping raids talking crap. And they always shout. It's in every anime. Just constant shouting. Makes it hard to relax and watch it.
