You already explained why, Russia is a nuclear state. Russia is a white nation. US/Europe can/does play an infiltration game on Russia that China never can because of racial alignment. A US-backed party can easily claim power in a destabilised Russia, China has no way to do the same.

Not every Russian politician is white, but because the country is autocracy, there are only a few people with any nation power and they are white. However, many regional leaders are not ethnically Russian and hold significant power in their regions. Also, as I have said before, all most people really care about is the economy, and China is the most likely to improve that especially compared to the west. Also, the USA absolutely does not have infiltration groups ready to overthrow the Russian government and to think so is insane. You realize that one tiny slip up of one agent involved with that would lead to immediate nuclear war.
