Except it’s not. Not killing a human for no reason is hardwired into our DNA but the reasons that can be used as justification for killing somebody varies from person to person based on background and culture, which is influenced by religion.

The people being dumb / things not being able to be documented (which isn’t true by the way, ancient history is a large field based on plenty of historical documents from the time), isn’t relevant.

By this logic we shouldn’t accept historical info that isn’t from the modern day where there are centralized recording / maintenance of records. History is history, regardless of the context at the time.
