I realized, most of what people called cringe is quite literally anyone ugly doing something to stick their neck out, case in point;

Go to any "cringe compilation tiktok" video and it's basically just a compilation of ugly people trying to get attention. Imagine the people in these thumbnails and replace them with 8s or 9s, the videos would be titled "TikTok Cute Boys/Girls Compilation" and the weird behavior would be seen as cute or funny.


Anything deemed "cringe" is just people on the wrong end of the halo effect.
