Normie rule for minimum age is the classic (half your age + 7) although I’ll concede that irl people are sometimes less “generous” than that rule.

It breaks down at older ages where people think the absolute gap is just too large, and also in like early to mid 20s some people think somebody a few years into their career shouldn’t be dating someone in their first couple of years of university e.g. 25 and 19.5 (even though it fits the rule).
