In order to jut your jaw, you have to tense and use your muscles. While holding the jutting position your tmj is moved.
Now if you that over a longer period you will overuse your jaw muscles and damage your tmj‘s, making you develop TMJ disorders (clicking, pain, asymmetry etc.)

lol this is exactly what happened to me. but im pretty sure it grew my jaw a little or whatever
