It's not mental gymnastics at all. It's simply what I've observed in 37 years of being on this earth. Looks are definitely not enough. They won't take you all the way.

Women don't like boring dudes no matter how good they look. They'll take a straight up mean toxic mother fucker over a boring safe dude any day. And it's a rough world, as far as safety goes there's nothing more safe than a ruthless man who's mean and unpredictably "toxic".
