If working out the body tones the body, why wouldnt facial exercises do the same? Why would facial exercises just “give you wrinkles”?

Just train ur neck and chew to prevent sagging and alveolar bone recession, as when u ll end up with periodontisis ur health will drastically deteriorate

Well really, toning isn't a thing, toning is either losing fat or gaining muscle, typically both, toning isn't like it's separate "process" going on. Facial exercises are very bad at both of those, not only do they not burn calorie or can reduce fat in the zone, but they also don't cause much hypertrophy if any. Either way, typically the facial muscles are very small and specialized, so they don't have much potential for hypertrophy regardless.

Like any other muscle if you can find a method to add resistance they should be able to grow in theory

In theory? Yeah, that's plausible, but facial exercises, at least the typical ones you see on TikTok aren't really the best for that. And even then it would be very hard work, think of facial muscles like the calves, the calves are usually called a "stubborn" muscle, that's because they don't have much capacity to grow, they're mostly composed of slow-twitch fibers and there's a genetic limit to their growth potential. The case is even worse with facial muscles, which are even more specialized than the calves.

In practice too it's a struggle, I just don't see a way to add resistance to these muscles and work them out properly, but as you said, theoretically possible.

worth a try? Or better off microneedling and increasing collagen and other methods?

Ba
