I actually don’t think so especially if your looking for budget laptops around that 400-800 mark

the new MacBook Neo will force competitors to drop prices to compete and with the introduction of new chips like the ones from intel it’ll only get better from here, also the war in the Middle East isn’t related to any of these sectors and laptop ram chipsets aren’t gonna see a huge markup in price like the ones on PCs, not to mention tarrifs will drop in a few months due to the congress order and the limit of the new tariff order

also other sectors like the phone market is far far too competitive to ever see a markup in costs, they’ll practically sell at a loss to remain in the market for a temp period

again though on what legal basis could he increase tariffs, he’ll run out on the global 15% in a few months and it’ll return to a base 10, also I don’t think a rise in the cost of production nessecarily means a hike in price especially in hyper competitive markets for example the smart phone industry

and with the introduction of the new Apple Neo, the competitiveness of the budget laptop market further rises, I do believe baselines will increase but not to the degree everyone’s terrified about and it’ll be likely top end models will rise too
