this thread only applies to ppl not in college learning some specialized field/skill or in some trade

i'm self learning computer science from scratch again, and i already feel the confidence that i can mog any problem that might be presented to me at work or w/e that isn't even related to cs

idgaf if computer science is a dying field or i won't get a job in the field, just learning it cause it seems fun and i want to challenge myself, it builds confidence too

tech is a easy (as in able to find resources easy) skill to pick up compared to like engineering/medicine/law/accounting where you need to go to school to learn it

it depends on how skilled you are as a programmer, if you're usaco platinum (or maybe even gold) for example, you'll be able to provide value that ai can't replicate in full

also even if it does, who cares, you're still learning a skill tht u like which builds confidence
