i got this exact wire cutter but its not strong enough to cut my retainer, i only managed to pull the retainer a bit. this has given me an idea tho, maybe i can distort the retainer in a way to render it ineffective, i might also pull the retainer on lower teeth back to maybe help in retroclining lower incisors. i tried cutting top retainer on top canine first to make it on front 4 teeth than front 6 teeth, but i just managed to pull and distort it, my canine is feeling pressure now, sorta similar to when i had braces.
i might just visit dentist and get them to remove it tho, but i might try this to push back lower incisors ngl.
my retainers look exactly like the ones in the lower pic, i tried cutting that bit where it bends from \ to / in the retainer, but i reckon i can just pull on that bit instead
