you get the negative and positive effects of the drug, whatever is caused by being intoxicated by the substance.
for example you dont just get the low inhibition of alcohol, you also get the drowsiness and loss of function.
you can choose by sheer force of will to increase the dose inside your system, however the effects decrease as they would had you taken it normally.
using alcohol as the example again, your liver must process the alcohol as normal with no super ability to decrease your chosen dose other than waiting.
you cant build tolerance and comedowns arent really a concern considering your ability to will a higher dose into your system.
you are not able to be sober!! whichever substance you choose must always be affecting you in at least a mildly noticeable way.
hopefully this rule set makes the premise as interesting as possible but suggestions for rule changes will be accepted.
