If you decided to be completely anonymous how would you ensure it?

I’ve been thinking about this question recently:

How can we truly know if a system guaranteeing anonymity is actually doing so?

Even with multiple security layers or measures in place, there's always some level of uncertainty. A computer is such a complex machine, with so many interconnected components, that it’s incredibly difficult to prove true anonymity.

Take the Tor network or proxies, for example: they mitigate some risks but don’t fully solve the problem. VPNs might help, but then you’re left trusting the VPN provider.

It’s a daunting problem, and honestly, it’s making my head hurt. The only way I’d feel completely safe would be if I could build my own operating system, design my own protocols and encryption systems, and even operate my own ISP. But, realistically, that’s not feasible.

You cant 100% guarantee that, i use an always on vpn with random usernames and like 30 character passwords and 2fa everything

the cookies you store and if you play with crypto even the RPC requests have IP addresses within the packets. (phantom wallet claims to use their vpn to hide this but can we trust this?)

You could try making your own vpn if you don't trust the vpn providers
also go on dread or somewhere and ask others how they stay anonymous online

tails is the most secure because it exists on a ramdisk that is completely wiped once you remove the USB
ross ulbricht was on it but the feds managed to get him away from his PC long enough to confiscate his laptop

It is provable by math and inspecting the system's source code.

tbh using LTE can be not bad but slow in my area :ROFLMAO:.

Also LTE can reveal geolocation to the provider of the netowrk i think:
