INTRODUCTION
Every day we hear endless talk about how appearance is the defining factor behind success and dominance. While looks may play a role, they are missing key factors. True presence is built on wayyy deeper foundations.
Confidence, composure, and self-control shape how others perceive you far more than surface qualities alone (that being your looks). When you genuinely feel in control of yourself and your environment, it naturally reveals itself through your posture, your movements, and the way you carry yourself.
Your body language becomes a reflection of your inner state. Calm. Certain. Unshaken.
The moment you begin to cultivate that inner confidence, people notice. Not because of what you say, but because of the quiet authority you project without needing to announce it.
BUT BIG DADDY MASTER CHAD ZINC WHAT DO WE DO ABOUT THIS?!
Well the truth is, if you are neurodivergent, you're gonna need to take a completely different road. I'd suggest you take a healthy approach and not force yourself to act like a different person.
To the rest that are fine with behaving differently, here it comes
ALWAYS move slower. People who are confident and in control dont rush. This 100% works because fast movements signal nervous energy (This is where ND people find it hard)
Hold eye contact, but DONT stare. Strong eye contact creates presence. This is hard for all of us, I can admit. My tip is to look at one eye, then occasionally the other so it feels natural.
Take up space, confident people don't shrink themselves. Like I said body posture plays a huge role, when sitting do not cross your arms tightly, and make sure to keep your posture open. Of course, when standing your chest should be open with your shoulders back.
Control your facial expressions, practice a calm and neutral face. Stop blinking rapidly and fidgeting. Nervous smiling is also cringe af, so don't do that.
Don't react to EVERYTHING. People with a strong presence don't overreact. If someone says something so fucking stupid, or just cringe in general. Look at them with a small smile or just a neutral face. Not reacting shows emotional control.
TL;DR
Move slower, rushing signals nervous energy.
Maintain strong eye contact.
Take up space (Posture, shoulders back)
Keep a calm and neutral face
Avoid fidgeting and rapid blinking
Don't react to everything
