Sugar free drinks are worse, the cancer causing sweetness aside when you drink them your brain thinks you consumed sugar so it releases insulin but since you got far less sugar in your blood( because the artificial sweetness rise bloodsugar far less than table sugar) the insulin becomes useless and over the time you develop insulin resistance.
