If you get jaw implants, will you need to change them at any point in time? After 5-10 years let's say.

Also, will they leave an effect on your skull?

I'm considering jaw implants ngl to be really defined.

You should ask @RealSurgerymax, 99% of people on this forum don’t know what they are talking about especially the two people that commented above me.

Also, do you want jaw angle implants or wrap-around jaw implants?
Not certain between the differences of the two to be honest, all I know is that I have a good jaw shape but I just want it to be more prominent. I'm not recessed or anything.

If you like the design and resulting changes, they will never need to be changed out. Facial implants are good for life.

While some implants like breast implants do have to be changed every 10 years or so, this has to do with the fact they are thin bags of liquid which will eventually fail and release the liquid contents. A solid implant can’t fail in this way.

They may leave a small imprint on the bone but this is normal. The jaw angle is one area known for its exceptionally strong regeneration capability so imprintation will likely be minimal, and bone is actually known to grow over jaw angle implants sometimes.
