If you have good genes (that doesnt only mean looks, but looks/IQ/athletic abilities) there are many ways to leave a legacy surronding your existence without ruining your life, having to procreate with some used up whore who will likely just divorce, take your shit and make your kids hate you in a few years.

there’s a difference between biological failure and personal failure

the dalit might be complete failure in his life but he is a biological success. his genes live on, and that’s what nature selects for.

tesla did great things yes, but his genes died with him. the dalit living in mumbai who had 7 children had more impact on the course of humanity than tesla alone could. that dalit changed the gene pool of humanity, he was a biological success, and thus nature would select for those traits in the future.

even looking at it from a purely selfish pov, sure, you can find meaning in other things. but having children is such a core part of biology that you don’t realise what you’re missing out until you have them. it’s hardwired into you over millions of years of evolution to want children, it’s the sole discernable biological purpose of life. it does not matter what you do in life, even the greatest will be forgotten eventually. the only lineage you leave behind is genetic, you live on in through your children.
