Based on your current appearance, what would you call yourself if you were forced to change your identity tomorrow?

I would probably call myself Ryan or Matthew based on this.

Simple, subtle and doesn't draw too much attention.


Since I'm Asian I'd have to go with a rice surname.

Li & Liu work because they can be also be spelled as Lee or Lew to appear more western.

If I needed to hide my Chinese identity, I would definitely take a Japanese last name like hitoyoshi or kiyosaki to really sell it.

You have to think beyond just white people bro.

Yes while it's true the average white doesn't know the difference between Chinese Japanese and Korean, the type of Asian you are matters.
In Europe, Africa and even Asia itself.

Japanese had a mad halo from the 80s to early 2000s.
Korean have had a halo from 2010s till now.
Chinese are either neutral or failo. Halo on if gigarich.

I once larped as Korean at a party and was actually treated very well. I took Korean 101 and actually managed to impress some white girls with my Kbarbecue knowledge too.
