Getting a signet ring, not a fan of necklaces though, only have a single cold necklace I got from my grandmother but never wear it as I can’t wear it with most of my formal outfits

Cartier tanks or datejust 36 should fit, the watches are usually cheaper when they’re smaller so you can save a few bucks
Rolex is quite basic and boring, no open case back, no cool complications, massproduced, inflated prices, saturated market with fakes

I’m JLC makes some nice pieces, I have been considered their moonphase ultra thin for a while, but I am currently considering their reverso duo to the history. Also hopefully getting the PP sector dial and Cartier santos L at the end of the year as well

Breitlings are usually very big, they have a very busy dial and so forth, they aren’t special and they’re overpriced - I’m more into timeless minimalistic designs that fit everything I wear
That's what I like about them, I don't get the Rolex hype, it just looks boring to me. To each their own
It’s somewhat like art for some people, for others it’s about status, and for someone like me it’s both, I am planning on making my own watch at some point, and I feel like it’s a nice item you can pass down to your future family. Its probably easier to explain it like cars: you have a basic shit car that gets you from one place to another (fashion watches/Apple Watch/cheap quartz watches), then you have the classic cars (vintage watches), then you have the super cars that are pretty much art (PP/ Jacob & co / AP/ a Lange & S), there’s many reasons to get them, but it’s mostly because it’s a decorative piece just like a bracelet or any other form of jewelry. Imo it’s pretty much the only jewelry accepted on a guy (apart from a religious necklace) or a family crest ring (signet ring)
