Taking kelp iodide can help. It can displace the thiocyanate found on the thyroid binding site. It does this because iodide is a huge ion and there is only space for one. Goitrogens are predominately thyroid modulating through the SCN- thiocyanate ion. Not to mention Iodide is also a great anti fungal agent
