It's bc different lightings enhance different defects of your physicality. For example, if in one pic you look ugly, there are reasons why you look ugly : a set of characteristics makes your face ugly in this pic. What is it ? Weak maxilla ? Weak jaw ? Big nose ? You might be able to point out those defects. BUT, camera could make your nose appear bigger than it really is etc...So I would say that it depends. If you look ugly in some pics bc in other pics lighting is haloing you/or you're angle frauding, then yes you might be ugly. But if it's just lens disto, then no.
