This is by no means a rule but unless you`re an addict (u will look horrible on either) upppers generally have an almost positive aspect to them lookswise while downers (look at alcohol and benzos) will leave you a wreck

Same thing with the social aspect, ever heard of a shy coke guy?
That is to say its very easy to be delusional on uppers and come off as a weirdo so dont go in blind always know what you`re taking and how much.
