If your getting into web "hacking", you need these tools:

1. Nmap - Network Scanning, good for finding open ports to exploit
2. Dirb - Basically like google dorking, but automated (find login panels/other files)
3. Hydra - Brute forcing, basically tries to guess the password
4. Exploit Directory (You can search for known exploits to use on old software)

I would learn these 3 tools first, nmap especially
