Then it could be because the teeth are recessed. People are scared to bring the teeth forward because of ape face, but if you have a recessed mandible it’s likely because your top teeth are too far back, and the whole set of teeth need to be pulled forward. A lot of people I’ve talked to with recessed jaws and they can all jut (do an underbite), meaning the problem isn’t the mandible itself, it’s the teeth holding it back. If you have my issue and your jaw doesn’t appear recessed, but your maxilla is recessed, then you need an overall forward growth which can be achieved by pulling the maxilla forward.
