Working for a company = unless local job that pays shit, 3 weeks on the road, no social life, health rotting from horrible quality sleep, eating junk because you’re always on the go, driving in big cities thru roads that are not designed for big trucks at least half of the time being super paranoid about getting stuck somewhere, can’t find parking at truck stops at night, just absolute shit show that you just barely have to make it thru.

Having your own truck = same shit, better pay BUT you’re responsible for everything about maintenance on that truck and fueling it up. Semi trucks break down constantly and are super expensive to fix. And right now the market is absolute shit in terms of pay and freight rates.

This business is dead and will be destroyed like any other small business was.

Truck driving seems simple on the surface but is a complete shit show if you get deep into it.
