Classic case of PSL autism, no offense, OP.
If you´re good-looking, a ratchet cut will make you look worse, point-blank. If you´re ugly and had a shitty cut prior that didn´t suit your face, getting one that does will ultimately make you better looking. Maybe not enough to turn you good-looking, but still better.
This is the problem with a lot of posts here, they completely disregard nuance and often only give absolutes.
