If you’re gymmaxxing focus on OHP, not flat bench

OHP used to be the main lift everybody did and focused on until the gays took over bodybuilding and told everyone flat bench was better (they wanted guys to have big lower chests because it looks like tits)

The OHP will develop your physique in a far more aesthetic way than flat bench. It will hit your front/side delts and upper chest for an aesthetic look (you can even do the behind the neck version for a greater emphasis on the side delts but only do it if you have healthy shoulders).

If you are even remotely strong at this lift (135+) people will be very impressed.

And if you manage to get to 225lbs (takes years) people in the gym will literally view you as a god.

OHP is good, but just hope u don't end up with an encapsulated shoulder, then u really gonna suffer...

IMO gym essentials are

Incline bench (MAX 30 degrees)
OhP or seated military press
Wide grip pull downs/ pull ups
Narrow grip pull downs
Incline row
Leg raises
Overhead triceps work

Yea I do it sometimes. Great for side delts and can actually improve shoulder health overtime if you do it in the right way.

It's the lats that make you wide
Focusing on back is as crucial as shoulders if not more to get a wide upper body

Yup lats and shoulders both very important but often neglected by beginner lifters who focus only on chest and arms.

Dumbell incline press, barbell OHP, cable chest flies at an angle to focus more on ur upper chest - the golden trinity for an aesthetic chest

Pull ups till failure work the absolute best for me
Lat pulldowns and seated cable rows for the best excercise
I am actually able to feel the muscle while doing the excercise and that's what matters the most

I can’t do either, but especially not OHP, I have shoulder arthritis.

It's good to get wide shoulders if you have narrow clavicles.

I have wide clavicles and it looks way better if you have a big chest and smaller shoulders. (If you have wide shoulders to begin with)
