I’m sure you’ve seen this. Let’s take a look though. There’s a maximum at 72 in (6 foot). The magnitude of the slope leading to this point is greater than the magnitude of the slope after this point, so you’re punished more harshly for being too short than too tall, which is obviously expected.

Let’s just call this graph A for acceptance. If you’re 6 foot, then the percent of girls who reject you based on height is 100% - A(72), which looks to be about 1%. Note that this is ALL girls who reject a guy on the basis of height at 6 foot, so the girls who require 6’3” or taller are a subset of this, i.e., they’re less than 1% of the population.

Did I miss anything here? Is there a sampling bias or something, or are people just astonishingly stupid?

Average is probably around 180 - 182 cm for the younger generations excluding immigrants from MENA, so anything above 190 with good frame is very good
