1.) Lifting heavy- Everyone listened to a roided genetic freak Ronnie Coleman when he vouched for lifting heave. Science has proven that you should not lift super heavy to gain muscle and strength. It’s recommended to stay within the 10-15 rep range and progressively overload from there. This also helps prevent frying your nervous system and soft tissue injuries.

2.) Deadlifts- This is by far the worst exercise in the history of mankind. Some people actually claim that if you don’t do deadlifts you’re considered to be a punk or lazy. The likelihood that you get injured is super high and rewards are literally just a stringer grip, big legs and that’s it. It’s just not worth the risk and it will definitely hold you back in your quest for aesthetics and “looking string”

You will never lift enough to make you shorter. Heavy lifting compresses the spine, but it is max 1-2cm and it is ONLY for super-professional athletes. You are not one, i would guess. :feelsokman:

Legs

deadlifts are the only lift I do for my legs.

im not really sure if they actually make u shorter, i just heard some people say it does but i wasn't able to find any scientific evidence or proof of it yet, but i will just stay away from deadlifting rn just incase.

Squats, deadlifts, overhead press compress your spine and make you shorter.
You can cancel them out though by doing by dead hanging from a pull up bar.

I've been gymcelling for nearly a decade now and I can confirm that heavy lifting is not worth it : You've got to push hard but don't exhaust yourself to the point that you can barely do anything else. Besides, heavy lifting is only good when you're bulking and we all know that bulking is bullshit and makes you look fat and ugly.

Yes, and replace weighted squats with body weight only, deadlifts with other hip adjacent exercises, overhead press with side/lateral raises.
