So I been doing research and found this accidentally

i was looking into why some populations have strong jaws and forward grown faces and others don't. diet stuff. chewing. all that.

then i stumbled on something about iodine deficiency and facial development.

if you're still in puberty this matters more
because i found a research journal that said iodine deficiency during development literally changes the shape of the face. not just soft tissue. the actual bone structure.

kids in iodine deficient regions grow up with:

· flat midfaces
· recessed mandibles
· narrow palates
· hollow under eyes

the facial features are documented. it's called cretinism in severe cases but even mild deficiency does something.

so here's my logic: if lack of iodine fucks up your face during development, maybe correcting it can help even after puberty.

what you need

Item Cost
lugol's iodine 2% $15-20
selenium 200mcg $10-15

$25-35 total. (Approximately)

how to do it

first 2 weeks

1 drop on your wrist or neck. morning. take selenium.

see how your body reacts.

after that

rub 1 drop on:

· thyroid area (neck)
· jaw angles
· temples

optional: cheekbones.

selenium every day.

3 months minimum.

what people report

Effect When
more energy 1-2 weeks
face looks fuller 1-3 months
cheekbones more defined 3-6 months
jaw appears wider 3-6 months

it's subtle. 5-10% improvement. not surgery. but noticeable if you take photos.

risks

watch for:

· heart racing
· anxiety
· can't sleep

stop if heart races.

take the selenium. iodine depletes selenium. without it you can mess up your thyroid. 200
mcg daily.

who should try this

· flat midface
· hollow under eyes
· weak jaw
· no thyroid issues

who should not

· thyroid disease
· pregnant
· won't take selenium(obvious unc)

bottom line

if you're still in puberty this might actually do something significant.

if you're older it's a cheap gamble. $25. 3 months.

take photos. report back.

ask questions if you have them.

you can already get iodine from dairy products no?

Yeah, you can definitely get iodine from dairy. Cow's milk, yogurt, and cheese are all good sources .

A cup of regular milk has about 50-60 micrograms of iodine . That's roughly a third of the 150 micrograms adults need per day . Yogurt is similar. Cheese gives you less per serving, around 9-15 micrograms .
