Whenever someone says something I disagree with or insults me, I just ignore them. It's usually women who do this unwarranted, but when they do it, its because they want attention. When you don't give them that, it gets into their brain that the behaviour isn't rewarded and they put energy towards other things.
Online, I just ignore it as well. I remeber that 99% of people online are losers with no friends, so their words shouldn't matter. It's less of me just taking it and recognizing that it isn't worth my time.
