Woke up pissed off at around 6pm. Took a bath then spent time with my family before coming into work at 11pm, where I happen to be now.

Got 5 more hours of sitting at this table till I can clock out.

I take care of people with brain injuries. It's a group home and I work nights. If something happens I gotta help. Sometimes I gotta call ems because someone fell out of bed and hit their head, as well as documented it. It's precautionary.

I have a partner who usually sleeps through the night. Sometimes I have to be on meds and sometimes she does. If I'm on meds I gotta administer them to our clients before they go to work. If a client is bedridden I have to take care of them. Which means changing their diapers, wiping their asses, and giving them showers.

Most nights though I just sit here. Not much happens. Other than that I just gotta sweep and mop one side of the house at some time between 11pm to 7am. Takes less than 20 minutes.

It's nothing really. I got into this gig because a friend of mine recommended it. I couldn't have imagined myself caring for people like that either but you get good at it.

Shoot, I was a teacher for 7 years and that was something I never would have saw myself doing. I'm like the exact opposite of the kind of person you'd expect to be a teacher or child entertainer. My personality is not of someone you'd usually find doing that job. When I was 23 though I found myself doing it out of necessity. Let me tell you I sucked so bad for the first 8 months. I was only kept on because the school didn't have a choice. My classes were super boring and thankfully I couldn't understand their language yet. Finally I got fired though and after a month of living in a different city I was a decent teacher. Living in that new city forced me to take air of different kinds of jobs. Besides extra curricular training schools public and private schools would give me cash cover lessons for their regular teachers and what. Was enough to get by and gave me the tools to effectively teach any age.

But yeah, over the years I became an excellent teacher and host of children's events. You would never in a million years guess those are skills I've got if you met me though. I was never meant to have them.
