Very interesting response, and very true. You won't be anybody's type because of high averageness, making you a sort of safe choice rather than a firm one.answered your own question.
the plainest, most generic looking 'attractive' men have the most widespread appeal of all, but it's a very shallow kind of attraction that doesn't actually yield good results on the dating market except when it comes to getting laid.
this is because you don't want to have a lot of people that are sort of into you, you want to have a few people that are really into you, because that's what matters long term, but not short term.
I feel like Francisco Lachowski is a good example, but with him he has better features than just an "attractive" man, to the point that he is a lot of women's pick. He is essentially a VERY strong "safe choice", but a girl's type will be prioritised over Lachowski too I feel (assuming he is somewhat close to Lachowski's PSL).
In other words, Lachowski will score a lot of 8s and 9s, but he will very rarely get a 10. Whilst someone more unattractive than him, will score a higher percentage of 10s, even HTNs or low Chadlites.
Also, the more attractive you are (PSL wise), the more you can be allowed for having a higher facial averageness. It sounds weird because a higher facial averageness is better, but it's true. A solid chad with high facial averageness like Sam Dezz, compared to a chadlite like Jace Norman with similar averageness but worse features:

Sam Dezz is simped by many women, due to his high PSL and his averageness, but he will rarely be a 10. Jace Norman is basically a graph of Sam Dezz's but skewed to the left.

Someone with unique niche appeal will have a a higher proportion of 10s, than someone even more attractive (max 2 tiers). Think emo niche.
Striking features are essentially low facial averagness with high PSL. That's why they turn heads, they are rare but good. Think Elias De Poot, he will have the most skewed graph, with the biggest peak at 6-7, the second biggest peak at 10, and the third biggest peak at 3-4. The second peak (10), will be the highest peak out of anybody, due to him only having striking features. The true ideal is having striking features with some facial averageness. This means you will be unique enough to be appealing to a majority of women (high proportion of 10s with less skew). Think of this as if you could average all the results from your graph as a score, to get the highest score possible, you would want there to be not that much skew with a peak close to 10.
This is what people mean when they say that chads are people with one or two striking features and high facial averageness. The gigachads with more striking features and similar facial averageness will appeal to the most. The gigachads with many striking features only appeal to some, but when they do it is crazy appeal.
There exists some balance between these two, striking features and facial averageness, that only if you are above a certain point of balance you are chad, and if you have an even more perfect balance, a gigachad.
Btw, Alain Delon has probably highest facial averageness with one striking feature (zygos). His peak will be close to 9, with the least skew (less than Sam Dezz)... that's why his appeal is worldwide in every country. He's very few people's perfect man though.
