I got kicked out of my dad's house yesterday after an argument about me not going to his house on one of his weekends.
I play basketball and I had academy trials coming up, the only problem was that they were on a weekend when I was supposed to be staying at my dad's house and I he said he wouldn't take me so I told him "I'm sorry but i can't go to your house this weekend because of academy trials" I made sure to try and tell him that it was nothing against him and it was simply because basketball is important to me. He then called me on the phone and started screaming on at me about how I've ruined our relationship (he's been saying this since I didn't talk to him after he essentially ran away from me and the rest of my family).
Anyway, I went to academy trials and then this weekend I went to his house. I had a basketball game yesterday morning and he was at work so I went to that and then took a 3 hour bus journey to get to his house.
He came home about 3 hours after I got in and straight away he asked me if I'd made academy, I said no then he responded by telling me about how it wasn't worth going however I told him that even though I didn't get in it was still a good experience. and i learned alot of things
After that him and my stepmum started calling me stupid and talking about how horrible and selfish I am for not seeing him, I obviously argued back because I wasn't just gonna sit there and take it. This is embarrassing to admit but after about an hour and a half of being screamed at I felt myself starting to cry so I tried to leave but my dad stood between me and the door, my stepmum called me disgusting and started laughing at me. After this my dad told me to leave the house.
I don't understand why my dad has never loved me, not to glaze myself but I'm tall, athletic, popular and top of my class at school plus I've always tried to be nice to him and my stepmum's family.
Can I get any advice?
