actually, yes.

imo there are three root causes of tranny-ness/gay

1. Biologically trans/gay - xyy chromosomes etc
2. Fetish - ie autogynephilia
3. Unconscious status seeking - low status male/female thinks they'll be seen as higher status if they transition

also intrasexual competition, sometimes people might convince others to transition (sabotage)
