Serious question, how do you define racism? As some one who strives to never be racism, or make any one feel uncomfortable but also likes to have objective conversations about the real world, so as to make better decisions both as an individual, and as a collective, I sometimes wonder how different things are perceived.

Certainly there's an element of othering, demonizing those on the opposite end of the political spectrum but such people may be a loud minority or that may be how the majority thinks.

Is pointing out statistical difference on the average and median between groups considered racist to you?
Or pointing out differences in general, although there are always exceptions, for the purpose of pushing back against government policies that are based on a false understanding of the statistics?

Would you consider Donald Trump calling some countries "Shit hole countries" Racist?
Do you think banning immigrants from Muslim countries with high anti-American sentiment and terrorist activity from entering the USA was racist?

The reason I ask is because to be fully "anti-racist" means accepting higher murder rate, and gang violence in cities, it means accepting higher terrorist attacks and blood shed from that, as well as greater over all per capita blood shed and suffering because statistics were not brought into the equation, but has the side effect of making the majority of people feel more comfortable.

Is sacrificing a minority of people's lives to the god's of ant-racism acceptable so that the majority can feel more comfortable acceptable to you? It might be the right choice to accept a higher death toll for a more free and open society. I'm not making judgements on that but I am pointing out that there is a very real trade off. There is no utopian society where such a trade off doesn't exist, there are always trade offs when it comes to political decisions, which is why clarity in the expression of values is important for political dialogue.
