Ask yourself what subjects interest you, otherwise I would recommend books about psychology, but that's just one of my personal interests.

by sports I mean just shooting a basketball over and over

After a while u will become a good shooter u can use that in a game

I can't cook I don't have a kitchen but I get free military food cooked for me in front of me jfl

Yes. Op, as another user has suggested, you can try reading a book. Try, perhaps, reading the some Fyodor Dostoevsky -- The Brother's Karamazov, Notes from the Underground, The Idiot.

If you prefer science fiction, try some Stephen King or something.

You said you have no hobbies and no family: I cannot speak for the family part, but insofar as hobbies go, maybe sign up for a gym and do some of the classes and meet new people. You can also just lift by yourself if you prefer. Lifting can't be your only hobby, though: maybe try playing WoW or League or something to keep you occupied rather than rot, do nothing, and ruminate about how shit your life is. You definitely want to mix in reading in with this. You probably also want to find a good psychologist or therapist -- there are a lot of bad ones out there, I imagine.
 
Go for a run, gymcel, meditate, start a hobbies (I started drawing and its fun tbh). Honestly, go read this manga https://mangarocky.com/manga/jagaaaaaan-9/. It conveys how our desires can consume us, it is a violent yet beautiful story. I was honestly depressed as shit during quarantine and when I picked up this manga, all my troubles faded away... now go read it
